Can anyone tell me anything about the riddick area north of Ocala?? I'm thinking of coming down to check out a few 3+ acres with mobile homes. I am looking for more rural with small drive to Ocala. Kids are grown and looking for some place quiet!!

All I will say about Reddick is that it gained the nickname "Redneck" for a good reason. It's all relative. Pun intended.

It has a high black population and a bad reputation for crime.

Although I dont think that they are related in any way.

I live in the Reddick area, and it is a beautiful area. Ive been here for 10 years, and just love it. I myself have 10 acres; there are oodles and oodles of farms in the area. As with any area, there are some places you want to steer clear from, but in general its a terrific area. Close enough to Ocala to be able to shop, yet far enough away to be very enjoyable.
