My husband and I are looking at homes in the Rolling Hills Subdivision.

We noticed that a lot of the roads are not paved. The ones that are paved seem to be main roads.
Are there any plans on further paving?

Why are there so many homes for sale in the the area?
Is there an association?
How is the crime situation?

I am hoping to get some insight into the area. We like that it's quiet and
out in the county not city of ocala.

Thanks in advance for any input!!

All I know is that it's 12 miles from the nearest Publix. Someone must really value privacy to live that far from a supermarket.

There are some fantastic bargains and distance to a supermarket is not a significant issue for most.

The primary reason for the overwhelming number of available homes is simple: During the housing boom prior to the big crash, developers were building them too fast thinking the demand would continue infinitely. Unfortunately, we now know the result was far from that. Homes have sold for for far less than when they were initially offered for sale and many vacant homes (some never lived in) are out there.
