Try Allstate, we're paying about $1300 on a $250,000 house.

try Insurance Den in Homassasa. I couldn't get homeowners, (house too old) but they gave me a low price on property liability.

Definitely shop around - Homeowner's insurance is not hard to get here in Ocala and quotes will vary considerably (be sure and check the insurer's rating). We use Aherns Insurance in Ocala. They are an independent insurance agency and represent about 20 companies.

We moved all of our insurance from State Farm after over 40 years of being their clients to AAA and have not regreted it.
