We have lived here in Ocala for 2 weeks now. I was posting on here all the time before our move. Thanks to those who provided so much advice. It took 2 weeks to get Embarq to hook up our phone and internet, but I guess we're on "Florida Time" now. We LOVE it here! I have been riding my horse almost every day. All our animals made the trip well, the dogs are living it up- they love our giant yard. If anyone is considering a move here, feel free to ask me, I know it was the right descision for us. I could feel it the second I got here. This is a good place for horse lovers.

I think you mean highway 27, we live on a farm right off of that road, the little T-Bred babies are out along the fenceline all the time and I agree, they're delightful to watch!

Newteacher.

Welcome to Marion county!

Here is my spread in the northern part of the county:

Good grass for horses. Long views for Florida. The house in the background in the pic below is over a mile away on top of another hill top.

Oh wow, you live off 27...you are so lucky, we drive down that road to head to Mt Dora and it is one of the pettiest drives. DD always asked us to stop and watch the horses run in the field. It is a beatiful sight !
