Does anyone know of sink holes in these developments? Did they damage any homes? Were they near water features? Any links to information on sinkholes would be appreciated, especially information on what government departments might have a record of sinkhole activity.

Sink holes have appeared in Stone Creek, usually near water retention areas or ponds.

Thank you, do you know if there was any damage to a residence? From what I can tell the water features increase the risk and the sink hole is generally close to the retention area and can be repaired. I did see one small sinkhole on the lawn of a home in Stone Creek a week or so ago.

From what I know, there has only been one home that has endured any sinkhole damages. Another home incurred a depression, not a sinkhole. I was told the depression was caused by a leaking drainage pipe, not a sinkhole.

Thanks
I read about two small sink holes in their monthly news letter. Be interesting to see what they say about these.
Do you know if there was any ponds in the area of the sinkholes?

I am getting home owners quotes and none included sink hole (the type not required by the state). On the policy I like best I was told that I would have to pay a 150 inspection fee and that the insurance company would probably turn down the request. I think the deductible might be rather large also.

I was worried about sinkholes also and pulled up maps of Florida with info on counties with the highest # of sinkholes etc. Just type in Florida sinkholes and you'll have plenty of stats that might help.
