I responded to your other post, but just to let you know there is a good site to look for a job. https://www.employflorida.com/

I moved here 1.5 years ago and it took me only a month to find a job. I am in business and have a BA and about 3 years of finance/administative experience. The job situation/pay in my experience is not good. I was only offered $23,500/year! If I held out longer, I am sure I could have found something maybe up to $30,000 or so. The job market in Gainesville is much better. I have since gotten a job at the University of Florida and make around $33,000 but the commute is about 45 minutes to an hour.

Check out Frontpage | Ocala.com | Star-Banner | Ocala, Fla.. I also found some jobs posted on Careerbuilder but not very many.

Good Luck!

You are asking too much for Ocala, unless you get really lucky ... you need a bigger, more developed city ... G'ville like above poster said or bigger.

You would be hard pressed to find that kinda of pay anywhere in Florida, even here in Palm Beach County where the median salary is $40K and Palm Beach has some of the highest salaries in the state.

Default Pass on Ocala for job market

You may have enough information by now, but thought I'd confirm what most have said - not a good job market. Ocala is famous for low pay, even lower than the rest of Florida. Huge, low paying service job area. You want to flip burgers, the sky's the limit. Ocala has two book stores and 40,000 nail and hair salons. Go a bit south, closer to Orlando or over toward Tampa, but definitely out of Marion County. Good luck.
