We are new to this forum and may ask questions that have already been answered. My wife and I are considering these two 55+ communities in which to retire. Would like to know how close shopping is to Legacy and Summerglen. Particularly Walmart, Costco, Sam's, BJ's, Publix or Winn Dixie. Do the activities die down considerably in the summer due to snow birds going back north? Do either of these communities have a post office on property or is daily delivery to home mailboxes?

We are also considering Summer Glen in Ocala and Legacy of Leesburg. Can anyone that lives there give us any information on the areas. Shopping, doctors etc.

I would check The Villages as well.
3 town squares with music, shopping and restaurants and movie theaters.
Hundreds of clubs, rec centers pools etc.
14 country clubs with 18-27 holes and 30 plus 9 hole courses and 100 miles of golf cart paths.
Prices from 100s to over a million.
Something for every budget.

The fees are pretty expensive.

But most places in Florida die down during the summer except theme parks.
