I'm looking for a good family oriented area and a good elementary school program since my lit one will be entering school zone? What is the best area to rent or own? Since Ocala and Marion is so big? Any suggestions?

I would suggest ocala christian acadamy, the public schools here leave a GREAT deal to be desired. DD has been in Marion county schools for her whole school career, I have found that I have to do quite a bit of teaching her myself.
The pay scale for teachers is quite low here, so I suppose that does not attract the best teachers.
Also, if I may offer a bit of advice for here on the forum.... you might want to keep your questions on one thread, I have noticed that you have posted on a few.... hard to know what to advise you on if all the info is scattered.

Check out Inverness. I live here and my daughter has been in elementary and now middle school. all 3 schools are within 1 mile of each other. Elementary is next door to high school and middle school is just down the road. It's a small cozy kind of town with the lakes downtown and nice parks and boardwalks they just built. I actually live across the street from the lake with lakeview and all the schools are within 2 miles of my home. Are you looking to rent or buy a home? Ocala in my opinion is a bit too populated for me and it's full of retirees. I like going out there occasionally for the mall but that's about it. It's only 25 minutes from Inverness.

I am not knowledgeable about the schools in the area.... however, there are quite a few schools in various areas....

for example, there are elementary schools that are not too far from each other....
this would allow you to be able to choose a place to live and not be far from the local school...
