How come towns further south in Florida like Lakeland and Sebring don't have as many nicer houses for sale as Ocala? I looked up both towns since they're both further south. Supposedly its warmer in these towns during the winter. The amount of used house inventory just isn't there though. Since its only cold at night in Ocala during the Winter, I guess my wife and I will survive. Its Ocala all the way!

Don't forget to bring winter clothing.
Not all "days" are warm and sunny in Ocala. We snow bird here and bring both winter and summer clothing.

My mom and sis used to live in Eaglebrook in Lakeland. TONS of beautiful homes, ranging from the 200s to 6-figure homes in there.

Lakeland has some nice areas. The location is great to as you are halfway between Tampa and Orlando. Sebring is not a bad town but is much further away from the beach or larger cities. Sebring is much more rural and the economy is not as strong as Lakeland. If I had the choice between both cities, I would easily choose Lakeland.

I live in Lakeland. Plenty of houses.. Lakeland is a great location close to Tampa and Orlando. I can get to the Tampa airport in 45 minutes, the Orlando airport in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
