6 Teens arrested for a home burglary on Redwood Road in Silver Springs Shores. Ages 13, 12, 11, 10, 9. Reading this story online. Is this a bad area of Silver Springs Shores, or is this just an isolated incident from "stupid teens gone bad"? The youngest was 9? I'm surprised they didn't catch one of them in his baby carriage? According to the story. They broke the sliding door going into the patio, and then ransacked the house and set fire to the wooden porch. Maybe this was an abandoned, forclosed property? Most likely it was kids from the neighborhood who had nothing better to do?

Crime in general tends to be more pervasive in the 34472 area of Silver Springs Shores, as opposed to the 34480 area. I'll just leave it at that for now.

Looked online at a zip code map of Ocala.34472 which you mentioned as a "bad" area is mostly all of Silver Springs Shores. Aren't there any good areas located in this particular subdivision? Hard to believe that the whole area is bad. Pretty large population.

Ok....so to recap....

You left Jersey in 2005 for Texas, where you find the winters are no longer "pleasurable". You peruse the Ocala forum, and despite extremely informative and repetive posts about different areas, you continue to focus on those areas you have been cautioned against. You are concerned with the possible wide-spread practice of DIY circumcisions and run-amok minors. You want no HOA or neighbors to question you and your SEVEN indoor canines.....and the second most important thing is proximity to a Walmart.

Am I correct?

Default Response to Dax13

Second most important thing is close proximity to the gym. It would probably be good to live halfway between Ocala and the Villages. Good restaurants in both locations and lots of stuff to do.

I suppose the next two priorities would be a laundromat and a tanning salon?
