Will be moving to Belleview, hopefully in a couple of weeks. Have done exhaustive research and have been out to the Marion County area already. Belleview is a great location because its so close to everything. The "small town" mindset that seems to perpetrate there is also desirable. Like a nice, quiet, peaceful area. Would like to hear from others who live there about the desirable features of living in Belleview?

We spent 2 winters in Belleview and loved it. However there are a lot of local people living there so making new friends, unless you're very young, may not be too easy. It's a great location as it's close to both Ocala and The Villages. There are also stores to shop in and a few restaurants right there.

A friend lives there and loves it.

Near to most things without a Hugh city vibe.

People perceive things differently as in what one would like about a place another will not. Try and drive down and spend a week or two there looking around. It may or may not be what you're looking for.

It's an older section of Marion Co with older homes, some small and some large. It has a nice comfortable small town feel. The shopping in general is good at both The Villages and Ocala.

If you're looking for nightlife and that sort of thing you will be disappointed.
