Can someone please tell me about Lake Tropicana? I live in KY and have not been there but we do Love Dunnellon and Rainbow Springs. I am looking at a house to buy and wanted to get to know the neighborhood some before I commit. We are both retired, not hell raisers anymore. Time has taken that away. Now all we want is to be by ourselves with some small farm animals and do our own thing Is this the place to do it ? Please help ASAP I am close to putting in an offer. Maybe next week. We love laid back towns that kind of shut out the outside world (the very ugly part).Thank you.

Some areas of Lake Tropicana can be nice, but other areas are trashy. Have you actually seen the home or just viewing pictures online?

Viewing pictures online. But my realtor went through the house while I was on the phone and she liked it. I googled street level too. It looks very rural. Nice house. This is a stucco house. We are thinking about going to see it next week. Thank you. Anyone else know about the area ?
