I just moved to On Top of the World and am delighted with the community - and SW Ocala - (which is all I've had a chance to reconnaissance) thus far.

One mystery is paramount in my mind, however. What is the logic behind street name designaions?

The streets, roads a d avenues off of Route 200 are not in sequential order, as is usually found. Moreover, I notice that XX Street, XX Road, and XX Avenue are not in close proximity.

I mastered Non-Euclidian Geometry, Imaginary Numbers and Advanced Calculus but the street name methodology - if there is one - continues to baffle me.

Can anyone explain?

Not to mention that you get streets named like "XXX Avenue Court" that don't connect with XXX Avenue in any way. The first time I had to make deliveries in Ocala, I thought I'd lose my mind. GPS didn't always help, either. I think someone must have been smoking something interesting when they named the streets...KYIM?
