I know, that was actually more for the people who just moved to the Top of the World neighborhood since they seem new there. Nice Weekend getaway or even a day trip. Not really for a quick visit to Ocala ;-) I should have clarified.

I'll add to our list - we're literally in the middle of unpacking, so further exploring will need to wait, but it's good to have options since we have family visiting from overseas in September and October. Thanks

Dixie Crossroads is in Titusville, but a nice drive especially if you avoid interstates. Their Rock Shrimp is excellent, also the little pastry puffs the give you are great, and kind of addicting.

I was impressed with Hardwood Smoked, the barbecue place in the shopping center near Publix, just east of 60th on 200. Real food, real cooks, very tasty! Big portions too, so for me, it's a two-meal deal. Enjoy!

Thanks for all the suggestions "guys". Really just looking for the Ocala/The Villages area as we will be traveling about in that area looking at some potential retirement houses.

EDO Sushi on 200 in Ocala, FL has great Sushi. The lunchbox in downtown Ocala, FL is a hidden gem for breakfast and lunch. The Freezer in Homosassa has the best pull and peel shrimp on The Gulf Coast. Margarita Breeze in Crystal River, FL if you like seafood and sitting on the patio overlooking Kings Bay. Bangkok Thai restaurant in Beverly Hills, FL has amazing Thai food. Hope this helps.
