Looking at some homes for rent in that area and was looking for some general information on the area as far as crime, traffic, etc.. Any info that could be provided on the area would be great.

Also looked at Marion Oaks area but have heard some negative things about it. If you could provide info on that area as well that would be great too. Thanks.

Marion Oaks is good and bad (terrain unfriendly, way off the beaten path, lots of houses) not very convenient to live since the commerce to support that population is virtually nonexistent. Just 1 WinnDixie supermarket or if you feel adventurous, venture out the Super Walmart off SR 200. I seriously wouldnt recommend it. Please take my advice and look into SE Ocala (1st option) NE (2nd) before defaulting to the M.Oaks or the Shores. The realtors can be a little lazy sometimes so do your homework!

Hope I helped you some :-)

Genie, we're considering relocating to Ocala in 18 months or so. Would the Deer Path development be worthwhile, in your opinion?
