It took all of 3 seconds to find a recent example. Racism exists everywhere, but the South hasn't lost its touch.

Also, you do realize, or maybe not, that "Hispanic" isn't a race, per se. Hispanic means "of Spanish-speaking origin", which includes large parts of North and South America, but also Spain. Hispanics can be of any race, including white. This is different from "Latino" or "Latinx" as is being used more, which just describes anyone from Latin America. Latin Americans don't all speak Spanish, but can also be of any race. Someone can be Latino, but not Hispanic, for example. A lot of Americans are rather ignorant about this, as they assume that "Hispanic" or "Latino" are interchangeable and mean brown, Spanish-speaking person. To be sure, many are, but not all. Anyone who goes to say, Oaxaca in Mexico vs. anywhere in Argentina vs. Cuba or the Dominican Republic will be able to see there's a wide variety of people in the category.
And Louisiana is indeed somewhat of a different country, at least semi wise. Spanish and French influence.
But I'd say when the brutality happens it's more Spaniard. They have civil law.
Now if you had Alabama or Mississippi, you'd have more of a case.
French, Italians those people are not white, btw. They have Latin English accents and non-white skin

Uncalled for comment.
And, NY and Florida are the beacons of racial diversity? Stop and Frisk and Stand Your Ground ring a bell? The same racism that you're criticizing Ohio for exist in your beloved places unless you've been too oblivious to pay attention. I know Ohio has it's share of it but so does everywhere else. Arrogance? Ha! A lot of people feel that Ohio folks are too nice to everyone. Plus NYC, Florida and all of the Coasts has more arrogance than the whole state of Ohio combined.

P.S. -- Hispanic is not a race.

What makes you think I was saying New York wasn't the same? I absolutely hate New York state.
And Hispanic is absolutely a race.
Little boy

I know you're probably living on another planet. Southern Florida absolutely has arrogance. Northern style arrogance, and yes that includes Ohio.
You're living in lalaland, sir/ma'am, whatever you may be.

Stand your ground is not arrogant.
Even stop and frisk inherently isn't bad, although its application has been horrible and police in cities across New York state are known for their corruption, I'll give you that.

And people in Ohio are not "too nice." They're actually very arrogant and mean. I've been to Cleveland.

And also, contrary to what you believe, which is kinda a weird contradiction in itself, -ez surnames are absolutely white, with Frank Lopez English accent (the accent I name for the character from that movie Scarface which is absolutely how Spaniards, Swedes, Danes, Jews, Russians sound when they speak English), not non-white with Latin English accent like that of Andy Garcia or Tony Montana.
And yes they are absolutely arrogant in the same way people from Sweden, Denmark, Israel, Russia are arrogant.
Absolutely.
And when I say Spanish countries are white, I exclude Mexico, as they're more French, and non-white than anything else. Plus Nuyorican and Puerto Rican are not the same either, with the latter being white and the former being non-white.

Living in a large city, a truly global city, imparts a particular feeling of compromise and capacity to view the world with patience and openness. 100 years ago, Ohio had such a city: Cleveland. Cleveland has since, in relative terms, fallen behind the burgeoning cities of the Coasts. Illinois has Chicago. Texas has Dallas and Houston. Most "Heartland" states lack such a city. Ohio is nowise unusual in lacking such a city. But by lacking one, Ohio is stuck in very much a secondary role, as a follower forced to adapt, rather than a leader who enjoins and cajoles others into adapting.

So you judge a whole state by one city? You know how ignorant that sounds? Stand Your Ground has had racist practices just like Stop and Frisk. I want to know what things make Ohio people arrogant.

You misread my whole post dude. The person I was replying to was saying as if only racism and arrogance is an Ohio. I was saying that those same things he accuses Ohio of are the same things that exist in those. Plus, a lot of those people in the truly global cities dismiss places like Ohio and "The Heartland" because it's not glamorous, cool, hip. non-progressive and it doesn't have the mountains, beaches or oceans so a lot of them are close-minded just like people in the Midwest. Plus, those people in those cities aren't superior to me and I'm not superior to anyone. But, I get it Ohio is easier and fashionable to bash for cheap laughs or for one's own biases.

My experience with the south can broadly be defined as "nice place to visit, but would not want tp live there". Many southerners are still fighting the Civil War. It's a very conservative region, with a few exceptions.

My parents moved to NC about 20 years ago. They were Republican Evangelicals. Now they and my sister and her family are all raving, right wing, Pentecostals. They only listen to Fox News and I can't even have a conversation with them without them bringing up politics or religion.

They called us "Yankees" last time I saw them, and this was not good natured at all. It was mean spirited.

When visiting SC, I saw a tee shirt that said "Welcome to South Carolina. Spend a lot of money, have fun then GO HOME". Oh yeah, they are really warm.

Midwesterners are much friendlier.

I have no idea what you're talking about, honestly.
