COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 18 (UPI) -- Ohio Gov. John Kasich said his recent comments about doing away with the state's pink driver's licenses were made "sort of tongue in cheek."

Kasich said Tuesday during a speech at the "Dayton's Legislation Day in Columbus" event he is planning to "eliminate the pink driver's license," The Columbus Dispatch reported Wednesday.

I actually agree. I don't like the new license either.

What's the big deal? I am not a fan of Kasich but people are jumping on him for anything now.

I agree with both of your comments. The pink licenses are silly, as are most of the harsh comments about the Gov on this one.

The licenses are pink because it is a color that is difficult to forge. I find it interesting that the same people who are so much in support of greater security for the US, and protection from outsiders and terrorists are against something so minor that actually increases the state's security. Is your masculinity that threatened by the color pink?

Does anyone have a picture of one of these plates? And didn't Ohio just change to light blue plates a year or two ago?

It's the actual license you carry.

Hmmm...my BLUE Ohio DL indicates that I can haul HAZMAT. Wonder if it's easy to forge. Especially since I had to cough up about $100 bucks for the background investigation to get it...

Not a fan of the pink DLs either. They should use plaid as a background. That might be hard to forge too.

As they should, if they feel compelled to do so. Mr. kasich needs to worry less about the stupid license color and more about the mess he's creating.

No, the pink (more like a dark rose) licenses are IRRELEVANT.

Kind of my point though. He didn't go off on a 20 minute speech about it. Just made one comment.
To me, it is no different then if he said "I like dogs". Everyone would then jump on him because he is anti-cat.

What do you mean dark rose? When someone says rose don't most people think red? Not white or yellow or pink. It is certainly not a dark red. If you were refering to a pink rose it would be light pink, not dark.
Shall I continue making a mountain out of this mole hill.
hehehe

Luv ya' man.
