I have been looking online at places all over the US for years. I currently live near Tampa Florida and wish to move somewhere else. Since my family is poorer most places don't make sense for us. I just looked at some places around Ohio and I got excited instantly at what I was seeing. Great deals on housing where I can actually get a place big enough for my family. Originally I'm from Dayton and was back there last year. However I'm open to moving anywhere in Ohio. I LOVE what I see so far. I'm so excited right now I don't care about cloudy weather or snow. I'm coming back home Ohio!!!!!!!!

Now the question is where to move in Ohio on a budget??

One thing, so far in my search Cleveland rentals are overpriced and they look very underwhelming. I can't understand why any renter with a lower budget would ever want to live in the Cleveland area?

I have not found one single good deal on Craigslist for the Cleveland area. What am I missing here?

Craigslist ads may be more expensive...a lot of those corporate-type apartment complexes advertise there. You may check local newspapers instead. The big question is where do you think you'll be able to find work?

Most deals on housing are for buyers. When people are unable to get loans the rents increase. For an exception you might want to try the west side of Youngstown or the NE side of Warren(east of ELM). NOWHERE else in these cities.

Never mind. Everything looks like the same old run down stuff I seen when I lived there. The only good deals are in bad neighborhoods where I would not send my kids to school. Things definitely don't look so hot after a deeper search.

Hmm when I search rentals in Cleveland, I can't believe the value! But I guess it depends on exactly what you're looking for.

It depends on what you consider a "good deal". I pay $700/mo for a 2BR/1.5BA townhouse in a quiet community which would've cost me more than double that in California. Even in Columbus' nicer suburbs you can find 2BR apartments under $1000. So unless you're searching for really dirt-cheap rentals (something I doubt exists in Tampa either), you shouldn't be having a problem.

Move northwest like Minster, New Breemen, Celina, St. Marys etc. Me and my family just moved to St. Marys Ohio on Aug 3rd and we absolutely love Ohio.
