The court did no such thing. All they did was rule (9-0) SBA has standing to appear in District court.

...Which means they're ok with court-sanctioned lying in campaign ads, should it go that way. They won't stand in the way. Tacit approval, understand?

No, it means they think the case should be decided in the lower court.

Personally, I don't know why there should even be a need for a decision on this. If an opinion is expressed is one thing, but to even consider allowing the inclusion of obviously false information is something totally different.

And that should not be just for political advertising, but for ALL advertising.

See, there's this thing called the First Amendment. Kinda important.

Read this; you'll be a better person for it:

Ah yes, freedom of speech. That's what gives large corporations & koch the right to pay huge sums to politicians as a form of "free speech" and directly influence campaigns & public policy.

It's also what was used by fox fiction to win a court case, they won the right to misinform the public as a matter of "free speech."

I don't think either of those, nor the current supreme court ruling, is what our founding fathers had in mind.

First Amendment applies to protection of speech against the government without the gov't infringing upon it.

Ouch. Quite the Zinger!

If you'd actually watched it, you'd see an American telling what actually happened when Fox won the right to legally misinform its viewers...US news doesn't tell us these things because we're now like what I learned was so wrong with Russia/USSR back when I was in HS. The govt used to censor their news...Now in the US, not the govt but the media has won the legal right to not only censor, but skew the news...

Anyways, it seems maybe you need to learn about the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, one that Justice Stevens(our best Supreme imo) thinks is just despicable, and I agree because it essentially allows the rich to dictate US policy. All in the name of "free speech"~
