Been on my to do list for a while. Just haven't made it over there yet. A few questions for those familiar with the area please. Is there anything else to see and do in the area? What is the best time to go? Are mosquito a problem in the area in September? Are they usually sold out in advance or can you show up and get tickets? Any other recommendations?

-thx

Yes, I went 20+ years ago as a kid and I loved it.

Serpent mound is there, and a local burger joint, Sumburger.

Besides Serpent Mound, there is the Adena house and earthworks as well. Not that much to do in Chillicothe itself, though. It's a small city. You can eat there and there is a lot of retail on the way into town, but other than that, not that much to see there.
I have gone to Tecumseh probably at least a dozen times in my life, mostly as a kid. Always a good time. I don't remember mosquitos ever being a problem. I think most people just show up and buy tickets, but it's best to get there a bit early, especially on summer weekends. Front row seats are the best.
