ISLAMIC terrorists now kill more than 30,000 world wide ,up from a few thousand 10 yrs ago.
The murder rate in America is way down since the 70 's and would be even lower if and when blacks stop perpetuating genicide on each other. And we know how to avoid those crimes.

This just is a perfect example of the fundamental difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals have empathy. Conservatives have fear. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Also, if national security demands some change in the immigration laws, why hasn't the Trump administration presented a legislative fix to Congress, a bill which likely would pass easily?

You have no "right" to immigrate to this country. The President can set whatever standards he likes when it comes to immigration to insure our safety. If the President doesn't like people with blue eyes, it is perfectly legal, let alone a sick, evil religion that can't get its own house in order!
