I just found this thread while I was doing some genealogical research for my husband's family. His great great Uncle was an inmate/patient and died there in 1945. There was actually an obituary stating he was one of the oldest patients in the facility. I can forward you a copy in email if you'd like. I've found little else and was wondering if you had come across any information on him. I'd like to know how he got there, considering it was Lima State Hospital for the Criminally Insane at the time. He was born in 1867 in Virginia and died July 8, 1945 at LSH. I was also curious as to why he was being buried at the Lutheran Cemetery in Ohio? And not the hospital cemetery, being he wasn't Lutheran when he left Virginia. My email is mynahank@gmail.com. I hope to hear from you soon!
