What is wrong with living in WV ? I lived there in the 1970s and liked it more than some other places I have lived.

I'm from NY state and I love WV as well.

That aside, Zanesville never seemed that bad to me. As far as the hill country, slower living goes I'm from a part of NY that is a lot like that itself. I'm also used to being around meth addicts and varying levels of poverty for better or worse, so I guess I didn't notice.

I prefer Zanesville over Springfield, personally.

At least in Springfield you can find public restrooms. That's my main impression of Zanesville (other than the dumpy feel)....it's the only "real" town for a long stretch on I-70, and none of the gas stations or liquor stores have customer restrooms.
