I would say Wapakoneta would be best choice. State route 33 east will take you right to Indian Lake and 33 west will take you to Grand Lake St. Marys. Interstate 75 north right into Lima.

Hi, we have been traveling this wonderful country of ours and are ready to settle down. We have heard alot about how great the people are in Ohio. We would like more info about the Findlay area, possibly just out of town. We would like to rent a 3 bdrm home that allows pets(a 3yr old black lab and a 13yr old Jack russell). Any possibilities? We have family in the Detroit area and would like to be close to them. Thanks for your help. Travelin'MoM

Living on the water? Well, nobody has mentioned Lima's Ottawa River, which was called by the locals Hog Crick, when I was there. There was a time when Hog Crick had a reputation for smelling very bad because of industrial waste, but a newspaper, the Lima Citizen, went on a campaign back in the 50s to get it cleaned up. They showed their intrepid reporter, Stan Stench, clambering through the muck in waders and gas mask. As I recall, it worked, and Hog Crick's stink was greatly improved.

Lima do have a mall and stores that some other places in NW ohio dont have . Lima Shawnee area is the best place to live in period. Shawnee for quality of life in Lima provides the best.
