A couple I'm not sure are still open that I really liked were Tom's on NE 10th in OKC and Punkin's in Paul's Valley. I've heard there were some good BBQ places in Okmulgee but I've not been.
Bunch of SNOOTS in Chickasha!

I went to Swadley's tonight. I've heard their catfish is very good, and I keep saying that I'm going to get catfish the next time I go there, but, I love Barbeque so much, I always end up getting it instead. I wish they had a barbeque/catfish combo like Rib Crib. I'm always surprised that, IMO, their catfish is as good as any catfish restaurant I've been to.

The reason it's as good as the others is because they all order from the same supplier. It's all a frozen, breaded product that they simply pop into the deep fryer. Very few places have fresh fried catfish and when they do it's a farmed catfish.

Swadley's is good for the most part; they seem to give good sized portions, but are overpriced on some of their items...
I bought the catfish dinner once a few years ago for my mom, but she was disappointed that there was more breading than fish; just 3 pieces and 2 sides for like $13.99... Not a good deal at all.... I, myself just usually get the True sampler dinner or one of the sandwich combos... I definitely love their macaroni and cheese and sweet cream corn sides the best! I prefer Earl's Rib Palace over them... Earl's ribs are more tender and there sauce is just right, not too thick and not too sweet. Back in the 80's and 90's I l thought Gary Dales bbq over at Reno & Eastern was the best place in town but I don't know what happened to them?
