I finally made it to Swadley's. Got the True Sampler since I didn't know what I wanted and like pretty much everything. I wanted enough for 2 meals.

The sampler came with 1 rib. So far, that's the only meat I've eaten. It was extremely fatty and nothing special at all.

I'm sad about this. I was hoping to have found a new rib place.

I'll eat the other meats later.

I'm not saying I'll never go back. I'm just disappointed in the rib.

We had never been there until recently either. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. Doubt we'll ever go back.

I second that emotion.

One rib? That's a tease! I'll have a rack and share them with a friend!

Didn't like Swadley's either. Wouldn't go back for seconds.

I finished the sampler and was very unimpressed. I won't go back. Even though I'm mad at Oklahoma station BBQ for messing up their pricing, I would go there again before Swadley's.

I don't care for sampler plates in general. I have to have a rack of ribs and fries. I used to love that place in Chickasha. Can't remember the name, but they gave you a whole fryer basket of fries.

Jakes Rib!

I actually like Swadleys. It's certainly not the best I've ever had.....about a B or B+. Along with Jake's, I'm partial to Dink's in Bartlesville, Van's in Shawnee, and Earl's Rib Palace all over the metroplex (best one is still the original on Western Ave.).

Plus, I dare anyone to find better sauce than Headcountry (http://www.headcountry.com/). Headcountry is perennial champ many times over from little ol' Ponca City. Good stuff!

Personally, I just like Oklahoma BBQ in general. Oklahoma, as a state, seems to have better BBQ on the whole that most other states I've been to, and that includes the states of the Deep South. I can't stand that barrel of vinegar/mustard sauces they serve with their "BBQ."
