My husband and I will be moving back to Oklahoma from New York State (hate it here) we used to own a house in lawton when we were stationed there from 2008-2010 and our utilities were super cheap, but in June we will be moving back to the area and want to rent a home in Moore or Norman. Can anyone give me an idea of how utilities are? We are looking to rent a 2 or 3 bedroom house

Only on electric here but our bill ranges from $100-150 in the midterm times (early/late Spring and early/late Fall) to as high as $300-350 this past Winter, which was unusually cold and bitter. The ol' lady needed some serious heat during January and most of February. Glad that's over with. Maybe I can put some money back into saving now!

Summer seems to hover around $200-250 depending on how cool your house has to be. I keep mine relatively warm with the fans on whenever we're home to save money. When you walk into 76 degrees after being in 100 degree heat outside it feels pretty good. And you get used to it.

I don't know about water as we have a well/septic system.

I would think in a 2 bedroom home, especially, you could really keep the cost quite low.

Good luck and welcome back to The Sooner State!
