I'm glad you enjoyed living here at a time when it really was a small town. Some people prefer that. You did have some things go your way too. To me it still is a small town due to how spread out it is and peoples mentality. I won't belabour the point any more. I've stated my issues with it. Thats not to say I haven't derived some enjoyment out of OKC, its just unlikely to be a place I'm willing to live long term unless things change on the personal side relatively soon.

Do they still have concerts at the Zoo? I really enjoyed going to them. BTW OKC has a great Zoo!

What are you talking about? No one said you were ASKING anyone in Tulsa to agree with you. Don't try and play innocent. Rubi said if you went to Tulsa you would have new people to gripe to and you responded with:

My response was are you saying ALL the people in Tulsa would probably agree with your POV of OKC?

I hate to disappoint you, but not everyone in Tulsa is walking around crying about how they hate living in OK or OKC. Now, if you were to say "I am sure some of the people, or a few of the people" would agree with you, that is plausible.

But you cannot make a generlization as to what people would agree with because you simply don't know.

It's my opinion a person's college years and early twenties when they get out and discover themselves have potential to be some of the most special years in a person's life. The city that gives a person that opportunity has a place in their heart for life.

I thought she was talking about Ft Worth. Whatever, you can just keep defending Oklahoma. It doesn't matter. My experience is mine.

With absolutely zero intention of disrespecting either you or bawac34618, my comments were directed at the OP; not either of you. I have read enough of your posts (and his) to decide that I have no advice to make you happier in Oklahoma. You are both unhappy enough here that I would welcome the news that you have found another place to live that makes you happier.

I hope it happens and I wish you both well.

So true! I loved Manhattan, KS and Lawrence, KS because I came into my own during those college years. I loved it, had a wide array of friends from all backgrounds.

I graduated and made $1100/month down in Texas. Yes, I loved my job, but it was ramen noodles and gizzards all the way!

So I DO understand yours and Atlguy's situation.

They still have those concerts. It's just that area of OKC gets really rough after dark. Don't know what's going on but there has been an increasing in shootings and assaults over there.

I don't think the zoo area itself is that bad. The neighborhoods south of there can get kind of rough however but as long as a person stays out of them they should be fine. I go over to that movie theater all the time and have never felt unsafe.
