Here are some pics I forgot to post. After the ice storm, we went to lunch.

This is part of downtown Norman on a foggy day after the ice storm.

Plenty of interesting shops.

Here we are. We are not going to The Diner, we are going to a "chick restaurant."

Bicycle riding is big in Norman.

This is the Turquoise Cafe, our favorite place for lunch. It is about 1:30 pm, and hardly anyone is here today.

I had the poppyseed chicken casserole, just right for a cold day.

Isn't she lovely

These guys went to The Diner

College student trying to keep his head warm.

Peggy, what a cute town!!! Did you know you have the same Christmas deco on your street lights that we have~the wreath with the candles in it?

And that girl is really pretty. I couldn't believe that most people were dressed in such light jackets except for a couple of the ladies in some of the later pics. Geesh, the first guy on there didn't even have a jacket on. It must've warmed up pretty decent after the storm.

Norman is a very nice town. If it weren't for the football traffic, it would be an ideal place to live. That is my daughter who is a student at OU. She looks pretty good for someone who has gone without electricity for a week!

People in OK are funny about dressing warmly. Many people will just wear a light jacket even on cold days. I always bundle up, so I can stay outside longer. That day was pretty cold to me, but it was not windy.

I'd like to order from that menu please...That Apricot Chicken Salad looks pretty good, I'll take that and a glass of iced tea, and make sure it's loaded with sugar..:>)
Norman appears to be larger than Edmond and more traffic. I might have to check that area out as well...Thanks for posting the pics, it's fun to look at and get an idea of the area..
Your daughter is very pretty...

I have had the Apricot Chicken Salad and it is very good. It is a nice place to eat, mostly women go there. We go there when my DH is not along. Norman has many interesting places to eat, along with the usual chains.

Norman is more liberal in thinking than Edmond. West of I-35 you have suburban development and shopping about like any other metro area.

Thanks Colleen. I am very proud of her. She is in law school in Norman, so they have to dress well as part of their training. She does it quite artistically though, in my opinion.

OMG, I didn't realize that. She is beautiful and what's she going to college for? She could be a model.
