I am looking at investing in some real estate in Del City, and would like some insight into how bad the crime really is. When looking purely at the statistics, its pretty scary. I am looking for an area that is working class, and doesn't have to be really nice, but I'd like it to be safe, affordable, and comfortable for the residents. I know its not a highly desirable area, and thats fine, but if its truly a horrible place to be I'd rather pass. I know its hard to get a good objective picture of an area, but any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I would only invest in something south of SE 29th and east of sunny lane.

It's not as bad as parts of NE OKC but its very working class, lots of lower middle families there and nothing to make it really stand out with the exception of being part of the Mid Del school system which is miles ahead of the Godforsaken OKC system. Don't expect anything spectacular from the city government.
