Some Oklahoma people are stiff and not friendly or just not trusting. They're a disappointment to me. Some can be friendly to a point. There are some tough dudes that even New Yorkers would be concerned about their standings with these tough and moody dudes who are just sad and stay home to isolate themselves from the world. Yeah, they're racist and not very nice at all. They could be your worst foes ever, even more than the hardest NY rude, tough guys. Again, there are some friendly and cool people, too. It's just a weird combo of hometown folks. Beware of those cold, racist, moody and abusive tough guy with very little hair and stocky build with a thin gotee.

So, what is your analysis of the people in all the other states?

CA: people are diverse. Not as rigid or stiff as Oklahoma and Alabama

Most states: more trusting people, less stiff, more mellow, and in some states like NY and others on the east coast, more verbal but are trusting a little more than people in Oklahoma. They're more validated to rude in those eastern states since southern hospitality is not the case there: no disappointment here! When some of these southern people in Oklahoma are stiff, not friendly, trusting and act tough, they're hypocrites. Southern hospitality should be wiped out, period, in this region and show its true colors! Some are cool and some are not.

It's generalizations, but you have some individuals who are different and can act tough regardless where they're from.

I used to not think people in Oklahoma were friendly and not racist, but I'm not too sure now. I've had to unfriend a lot of friends and family over the last few months. I just got tired of reading their racist rants.

Okie1962, unfortunately, I think Oklahoma is racist in some ways, but I don't think it is more so than anywhere else and is less so than many other places. Most of us haven't been to every state and as has been pointed out in this thread already, it is pretty much everywhere. There may be some places where it's less than other places, but it's still everywhere. I wish it weren't, but it is and I can't stop it. People can only go by their own experiences, but that doesn't always tell the story.

This thread has given some people the opportunity to vent their spleen, which is no help to anyone. Like Bass&Catfish, I wish this thread would die a lonely death, but apparently it isn't going to. Point of view of different people varies so much and once that is obtained it's as if it's set in stone, never to change for some. It doesn't help that the written word lacks the warmth of verbal conversation. Speaking for myself, it's easy to place blame, but not so easy to accept it.

The Bible says nothing about when the earth was created, just that it was. An Archbishop named Ussher had a system that placed the Creation at a certain year, day and time but it was based on assumptions.

If people in California are racist then , people in NYC are a great deal more racist and Oklahoma would
be to the right of that.

Give up trying to find a non-racist paradise . because the ugly face of racism can and will pop up anywhere and everywhere!!!

Of all the posts in this thread, this one clearly settles the question once and for all.

I find this ridiculous. I have family that live in OK and they are the best people I know. My husband and I lived everywhere and you find all sorts of personalities all over the place. I know some CA people that are ignorant and bigoted. Does that make ALL Californians that way? Of course not.
