There are racists everywhere. They just may be racist or prejudice towards different demographics. I think you will have more to face being from NY then anything else. You will be in for a culture shock for sure. It's a different life style, much slower and relaxed. Just be proud of who you are and where you come from and the right people will accept you. obviously, you guys are failing to answer the OP's question.... Is Oklahoma racist? Yes...... but more of a discrete type of racism, anything interracial; the majority of the people do not like or are against it. Many claim that you see more interracial dating/marriage out here, not true...... the only reason why it looks like that is because Oklahoma's population is very small (around 4 million) compared to other states and bigger cities; so it stands out more or people notice it more here, but there are probably more interracial couples in places like NY, or California.

people out here tend to be more right wing republicans in Oklahoma. Avoid this state at all costs if you're a liberal, minority, or educated person.

And the States with the Highest Interracial Marriages Are... - Beyond Black & White
