You don't need to understand my posts....SMH!!
So, nutty conservatives turned Oklahoma into such a big mess that the tax on gas had to be raised 3 cents and it's not even to fix the roads!

When do I need to register my vehicle for Oklahoma? Must I get residency by staying in Oklahoma for 12 months before registering my vehicle? What about getting an Oklahoma driver's license?

You don't have the liberals here like California....Fight Oklahoma as California didn't used to be so radical...The state is wanting to tax mileage on driving and drinking water!!!

You need to get your vehicle registered and get an OK DL as soon as you can if you are planning on being a resident.

Lol, hey there Townie, Californian here. I just paid $3.99/gal for gas on Friday. On the other hand, I just used the CD cost of living calculator to compare my town with yours and I would have to make $4,425 dollars more per year to live in Stillwater. Not all of California is expensive. As for quality of life, I'm sure Stillwater is probably better than Porterville (my town).

I like Oklahoma....a lot. I'd love to live in eastern OK or western AR, but I'm too old to move to somewhere that I wouldn't know anyone or have somewhat of a support system.

Can't mention any other cost calculators but I'm getting Porterville to be aboutt 5%-10% higher COL than Stillwater pretty consistently.

That's good to know eddie. I was using the COL calculator here in CityData. Which ones do you recommend for more accuracy?

I can't mention them because they are considered "competitor sites". However you might want to google a few and check them against your C-D results.

I guess I can say that I observed that housing costs were about 10% higher in Porterville. But by the typical California vs Oklahoma housing standards that certainly isn't much of a difference.
