Hello,
My husband has to come to OKC for business training starting today through the end of August..our 2 kids and I are going to come out for a visit for the month of July. He wants to stay at either The Links at Mustang Creek in Yukon or The Links at Oklahoma City in OKC, does anyone know which one would be better? In a safer neighborhood? Or are they both about the same? Also, I'd like to take the kids to see all the sights- where should I take them? Thier ages are 4 and 11.
THanks for the help!!!
Wendy

I don't know much about the neighborhoods, but your kids will love the Adventure District of OKC, and maybe a litle bit of Bricktown (in my opinion, more for teens and adults). You can take them to the Canal and walk around, the Myriad Gardens, which has a giant enclosed glass bridge with a rain forest inside..

The Adventure District has the OKC zoo (which I think is the largest in the Southwest, not sure though) Softball hall of fame, the Omniplex (Science Museum now).. Or if you are in to baseball, there's the Oklahoma Redhawks that play at the AT&T ballpark in Bricktown, they play AAA, so it's just minor leagues.

Here's a link to the website. I hope that helps you. Sorry I don't have any more information.

I think either of those Links would be safe for you. I looked at their website but I couldn't tell if they had a swimming pool, your kids will enjoy that. Bricktown has a spray park they will like. Your 11 year old will like Frontier City, which is an amusement park, but most of the rides would be too much for a 4 year old. What's the name of the big water park on I-40 near Meridian? Sorry, senior moment. They would both love that.

It's White Water Bay Water Park, on West Reno, I think.

Thanks Colleen. I found out today I have vitamin B12 deficiency, and it causes memory loss.

White Water Bay was always a great place to go with my daughter. I liked the Lazy River, where you just float along, but the big slides are a lot of fun too. You can take a picnic lunch with you to cut down on the cost, but they have snack bars too.

Awesome!!! Thanks everyone for all the great ideas for fun stuff to do- the kids LOVE the water! So, we'll definately be doing lots of swimming (especially in July...I'm thinking it'll be kinda hot). Looking forward to the visit! Thanks!
