After feeling and hearing the one in October that much of OKC felt, it has made me more aware of what is happening. We had family visiting from out of state on Wednesday when the one happened around 4:45. We didn't really feel it, but we heard it. It sounded like a big truck rumbling down the street, with that kind of vibration. When we heard the rumbling (with no trucks passing by), I told the family that that was what the earthquake sounded like, although we could actually feel the one in October more. DH agreed. Our family looked at us like we were crazy. Then a few minutes later we heard the report on the news that we'd just had another quake. My young nephew thought it was cool that he could go back home and tell his friends he'd been in an earthquake.

Below is a link to a map that helped me understand why Oklahoma has been having quakes. The Humboldt Fault/Keweenawan Rift/Nemaha Uplift is geographical area that runs north/south from Central Oklahoma up through Nebraska. Nebraska has recently been having 4 pointers too.

it is wierd what is going on, im more worried that oklahoma may fall into a very large canyon or something... and lately we have noticed the ground is much softer then normal, making mowing difficult, i really hope they come forward and let us know whats really going on before something bad does happen.

They would never let the public know beforehand if a large-scale global mass destruction event was going to occur. There would be rioting and looting happening on a scale that would make those occupy protests look like Sunday school picnics.

I doubt that anyone would know ahead of time when and how bad the quake would be. They could guess. But as you said, causing panic based on a guess is a bad thing even when it is an educated guess.

It's said Out West that Earthquakes are unpredictible. I found that horses can
predict an earthquake within 5 min's before it hits.

What does it matter what you call it tremor, earthquake. Or which state has the biggest fault line. When something from mothernature occurs and you cant control it and it damages your home or your lively hood it sucks no matter where you live or how big it was!!! Especially when there is nothing you can do about it and no one to help you.
