Please give me some insight on some of the neighborhoods in OKC. I want all the dirt, and the good stuff too, so that moving to the city will be much easier!

I appreciate all and any comments...and know that all of our "definitions" of good and bad are different. I just need the low down! Thanks

Bad - Classen-10-Penn... a no no. But I hear the area is getting ready to make a come-back.

Ugly - The area bound by Britton, Hefner, Western Avenue and Broadway Extension is referred to as the crack-hood by locals.

Ugly - South OKC just south of the river. It isn't necessarily crime-ridden (there IS crime there, don't get me wrong), but it's just blighted.

Good - Northwest OKC's Lake Hefner Region. Decent neighborhoods, good neigbors and laid back. Plus, it's around a lot of water.

Good - Midtown. It's beautiful. Just beatiful. Includes Heritage Hills, Mesta Park, Crown Heights... I love it.

Good - NE OKC east of the Capitol Complex... Lincoln Terrace... beautiful AND interesting homes.

Good - South OKC south of I-240. Like NW OKC, but no water unless you count Lake Stanley Draper.

Good - NE OKC near Edmond. Hilly, full of trees... but you have to be rich to one one of those homes.

Good - Quail Springs region north of Quail Springs Mall and west of Edmond. Booming and lots of new money, but only if you love suburbia. Every city has one of these regions. But I love the sunsets over there.

Bad - West OKC, west of I-44 and north of I-40. Well, not bad, but really bleh. Older homes, not so well-kept.

I did not include any suburbs... just OKC proper.
