Well it’s election time again. I keep seeing ads from candidates who say If elected they will bring “Traditional Oklahoma Values” to the capitol. Is that really a good thing? And what’s the difference between “Traditional Oklahoma Values” and Traditional Kansas Values, or Arkansas, Texas, Missouri…
So are our Traditional Oklahoma Values really a good thing?

Poverty Rate we rank 6th
Teen Pregnancy we rank 10th
Divorce rate we rank 5th
Domestic Violence we ran 5th
Female incarceration we rank 1st
Total incarceration we rank

There are a few more list where we rank high in bad area. Can you think of any of them?

This is a new generation! I feel if you are still believing in "Traditional Oklahoma Values" you are only remembering the good ole' days.

If one cannot find the truth about the people wanting in office to pass laws on our behalf, than we only deserve what we get!

Maybe one should talk to the Native American Indians about "Traditional Oklahoma Values". We can go a ways back about the "good, historical" people of this state.

It seems that if an Okie running for office professes to be a good Christian person, believing in faith and family, than he/she can be elected into office. Never mind how that person really lives their life! To me, there's nothing worse than being stabbed in the back in the name of the Lord!

It seems to be too much tedious work to find out how our "truly" elected officials have voted to "help" us out, or what source to go to in order to read the Oklahoma Statutes.

Don't you just love those programmed voting machines? Who maintains them anyway?

Traditional Oklahoma values? That term makes me think of "values" that are only favored by white, heterosexual Christians.
