As I stated on a couple of other threads on here a few days ago, I'm looking to move to Oklahoma, hopefully in the near future. One thing I'd like to do is go back to being a volunteer firefighter again. Anyone know of towns or areas around OKC that have volunteer fire departments?

It's hard to think of any. Maramec, population around 100, has one housed in a neat metal building. But that little isolated town is closer to Tulsa than Oklahoma City.

I know that in rural eastern and southern Cleveland county there are volunteer fire depts in Little Axe just east of Lake Thunderbird, to the south
there is a Cedar Creek dept not sure of exact location. Also the community
of Slaughterville between Noble and Lexington has an dept. In Pottawatomie
county Pink in western Pott county has one and a little closer to Shawnee
Bethel Acres does too. I live in Norman so I am only familiar with those I hear on my scanner locally. There are more out there I know just can't think of them right now.

Oak Cliff Fire Dept covering the SW corner of Logan county is a Volunteer fire dept, I believe Deer Creek is also volunteer. They are both just north of Edmond, OK (northern suburb of OKC).

Not sure if they still are, but Mustang used to be a combination (paid/volunteer) department.

Amber & Minco Fire Departments are volunteer municipal departments.
Blanchard is volunteer with contract EMS.
Bridge Creek Fire Department is volunteer covering a rural fire protection district.
Chickasha is paid with in-house EMS.
Mustang is combination with contract EMS.
Newcastle is combination with contract EMS.
Tuttle is combination with in-house EMS and a resident/intern FF program.

Much of rural Grady County is covered by Grady County Rural Fire Department, all volunteer I believe. EMS service in the county is by 522-contract arrangement with the three EMS providers (Chickasha, Rush Springs & Tuttle) in the County.
