Most of the time you can catch em at the local lake, but I've found a few in ponds too.

Default Grand Lake

I am on Grand Lake by Sailboat Bridge, can't find a crappie to save my life, lol. Of course all this rain, debris floating everywhere now, but fished coves close to us and no luck whatsoever.

I never heard much about fishing around Sailboar because it is very active area there due to the power boats and the big wakes they leave. Dillar Cove is pretty good when the fish spawn if you go back off the main channel toward Buffalo Shores (around Lake Road 6. And it is pretty good if you follow the E 250 Road past Red 11 Port back toward the bridge. The Twin Bridges, Disney and Bernice are supposed to be good areas too. The Cowskin area if you can get off the main channel is sipposed to be good too, as is around Iron Horse. Sailboat might be much better very early in the morning, say 3-6am before the boaters launch at Red 11 Port. I never heard much about fishing on the south end because of construction and noise.

When all else fails call Jim at the Boot Box. He is Grove's best fishing guide. If the Bluegill and Crappy are biting he should have a pretty fair idea of where, when and what. Grand Lake is a lot of water to fish.

The bridge over the lake at Porum Landing at Lake Eufaula. Right next to the water pipe.
