Get your jackets out! It's supposed to be 98 degrees one day this week!

...I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it!

Seriously, enough of the heat. I mean, I like warm weather better than cold, but it's getting to a point where it's too hot to even walk to the car. 98 will feel like a cold blast!

Unfortunately that one 98 degree day, didn't exactly happen. It was suppose to be 98 last Wednesday or Thursday, not sure which it was, but it didn't happen, it still hit 100 and is supposed to all this week as well. I've really just about had it with the heat. I need a mountain break, but I'm afraid to leave town for fear of everything dying while I'm gone. The sprinkler system can only do so much.

No, it didn't happen. I was actually looking forward to 98 degrees. I'm going to be so afraid to open our electric bill! I don't know of another place where it gets hot so early and stays hot for so long, and the sun is blinding all the time. Meanwhile, more people I know are moving because of the heat.

Sorry for that tease, Oklahoma Traveler. 98 didn't happen.

Midland Texas, that's where. One year while I lived there we had 20 something days in May, over 100. This was back in the early 90's I believe. By early June the temps were near or above 110 many days. Absolutely unbearable. At one time our a/c ran for 2 days straight, but the house couldn't cool down below 85. We would actually go outside and water our roofs to try to cool the attic off just a bit.

I know what you mean about the electric bill and the water bill too. I'm watering all the time just trying to keep everything from dying.

Yeah, I like how the 100s start in Texas well before they start in central Oklahoma and then take longer into the season to go away.

HHmmmm, I moved here from Odessa, so I know about the heat there, but, it's a dry heat. I could stay out in that heat. This is a different kind of monster.
