It'll just be me and our little dog most of the time. Then, when the wife and daughter visit it will get a little cramped but not that bad. The one I've been eying is a 26 footer with all of the comforts of home. It even has central heat and air, surround sound stereo throughout, a high definition tv, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, oven, an electric awning, stove, etc.

Maybe this is a sign? Maybe this is your chance to head back to OK? Someone from Tx. just posted a neat map last night and it's a good one if anyone is looking for counties with lower unemployment rates.

Neat map Jammie. Thanks!

That is a nice little bachelor pad. Some of the smaller homes in Hooterville are as low as 21K. Actually, they go down to 11K, but those homes look like they would be classified as "fixer uppers".

I saw several IT jobs on the Office of Personnel Management - OPM Home Page

OK, so I HAVE to ask. What are the expenses involved in that camper? You don't have to pay real estate tax on it~correct? Wouldn't you just have to buy license plates for it and if you live in a state without a personal property tax~such as S.C., that'd be all you'd pay. Does that sound correct?

What would insurance cost? Monthly camping costs?

Yea, I'm checking it out cause I think that'd be something that would be fun to do in future years.

This particular model is 16K brand new. As far as property/real estate taxes there are none. License plates I'm sure wouldn't be too expensive and there is no personal property tax here in Texas; I'd have to check other areas.

Insurance? I do not know that yet. Monthly camping costs range from 200 to 350 dollars a month depending upon where you are, and that includes electric, water, and septic. In many cases, wireless internet is also included.

I figure you could live like this for around 400 dollars a month and if you are purchasing the trailer on credit, probably around 600 dollars a month.

Actually, I think it would be a lot of fun as well. If you get tired of an area, then just pick up and move to where you want to be!

Here are a couple I took at Red Rock Ranch in Marland last weekend. That's the Arkansas river.

Default Back to pics

Ever drive by someplace for years and always wonder what the heck it is?

Hmm, reminds me of a concentration camp...

Be careful, you might not want to know.
