They are a photographer's dream, but a city official's nightmare. The closest I got was about 3 feet, and I still had people walking between the dogs and me.

I have one adorable picture of a family of 4 all looking the same way, and just as I got ready to snap another pic, some kid raced past me and stuck her head IN their burrow. I got a great shot of her backside instead...

To bad you didn't have a beebee gun handy, "now that would have been alot of fun.
LadyRobyn, thank you so much for all the wonderful pictures of Ft. Sill, they brought back a flood of great memories. But you could have saved the port-a-pot shot for your self and your s/o , pour fella. Its nice to see that the grass is still "brown" on post.
Did you have a chance to get up to Mt. Scott? On the animal reservation I was always treated with a wonderful view of the Buffalos.

peggy, that picture is almost surreal. You should submit that to a photography contest or something; it's great!

I'm trying to get a decent photo for the photography contest that starts tomorrow, I think. I have a few possibilities. The contest is just for fun but I don't want to post anything lame.

The trees in that photo almost look like they were photoshopped. You should seriously consider that one. I love it.

No, gopher holes. We don't have prairie dogs here. The gophers are bad enough.

Peg, we have an expert gopher terminator named Thunder. His twin brother Lightning has gone to the rainbow bridge.

Thunder is the man when it comes to killing our gophers. Our neighbors have millions of gopher mounds, but our yard is almost spotless!
