Prayers from Central Ohio, as well. We are praying for the safety and well being of all in the path of the tornadoes. You fine folks have already suffered enough this year.

Prayers from the Texas South Plains. This sounds really bad.

Right now I'm watching: News9.com Live Streaming - News9.com - Oklahoma City, OK - News, Weather, Video and Sports |

I and my fellow Okies appreciate the prayers.

I've lived in Kansas and Oklahoma all my 68 years. I've never seen anything like this. We are, as we speak, surrounded by tornadoes. So why am I sitting here on the internet, you ask?I got tired of laying in the bathtub not knowing what was going on. My doggie is still in the tub, surrounded by quilts and pillows. I think I'll rejoin her.

I'm streaming the station now, on tv I'm flip flopping between cable news and Weather channel. I just can't comprehend the width of this thing. And right now Tinker AFB has a bullseye on it.

I have friends who live north of Yukon. Their phones are out. I double checked another part of town (Hastings CD and Video) off I-40 and the Yukon exit--their phones were ok.

I'm flip-flopping too. I really need a map in front of me to figure out what's going on. Earlier they were showing transformers, or something big, blowing out. Much of OKC is now in the dark and many are stranded in their cars out on the Interstate. This is just sounding bad.

I have a sister who lives in far NE OK. These OK storms always worry me because they always head in her direction.

It's impossible to keep up because there are so many of them. And they generally do travel north east, but at least one going east on I-40 took a hard right, turning south. Almost unheard of for a tornado to go south.

They're still forming west of OKC but right now the greatest threat is in the south Midwest City area. There is another one kicking up in south Moore. They're actually calling these things 'hurricanes'. About an hour ago it rained as hard as I've ever seen it rain.

As it is now getting dark there, tv coverage most certainly can only depend on the Oklahoma Storm Center folks regarding updates. News9 has a laundry list of road closures, tornado sightings, flood warnings, etc., etc.
