The soil in OK is so variable. If you kept a garden spot in mind when looking at a house, you can find some good soil. Where I am right now I just went with raised beds because it is just very thin topsoil with a layer of rock right beneath it.
My gardening motto is, if at first you don't succeed, try try again. You don't need a greenhouse. Just wait until the middle of April to plant your tomatoes.
We have lots of wildlife here. I see deer, raccoons, possums, armadillos most often. Bobcats, coyotes, and foxes are harder to see. We have all kinds of birds that migrate through, so you will have fun with your camera. Yay, another photographer!

We have a very small plot. But last year was a total wash out. It rained constantly and all the tomato plants went soggy and rotten.
