For those friends who are not aware, nearly 6 years ago Annemieke was diagnosed with breast cancer which was followed quickly by a mastectomy. After surgery and chemo she has since had some vaginal tumor problems that were removed last year. Last Thursday we went back for followup exams. Monday we learned that a second mastectomy is necessary. tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 8:30 AM she is scheduled for surgery. Prognosis is excellent (so far) and although we have been anticipating this for a couple of weeks or more, we did not want to burden our friends with our problems during the holidays. If you would, keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we go through this again. I will post again tomorrow when everything is done. thank you all in advance for your support.
