I lived in extreme northern, rural NH and we had some serious storms in the Winter, but never lost power for more than and hour or two.... If at all.

Nor do I want to.

of days that go 20+ degrees below zero down here.

Tulsa lost power to 68000 last night. This morning there are still 30000+ without power. It won't be back up 100% until wednesday.

I feel lucky we have power then today.....it's amazing how much we rely on power for everything.

So there are ice storms in NH too....my first experience with one was this past one in December and I never want to go through that again. I agree the winter temperatures are mild here compared to the cold cold continuous snow in Utah. I did miss the snow this year however.

I won't miss the snow too much...

We got record amounts last Winter and I think I shoveled
enough for one lifetime.

I will however miss my daughter's snow sculptures...
She had gotten pretty darn good at it.
