We had "some" heavy rain with thunder and lightning here in Duncan.
I'd volunteered for a 2 night job Fri&Sat (13hr shifts each night) stipping and waxing floors at ACE Hardware. For a short time in the middle of the night, the rain was hitting the roof so hard we couldn't hear the machines. Other than that it was just drizzle.
We're suppose to get more rain and a cold front from the Hurricane at the end of this week

We were wondering if you's guys got hit by that storm. There was a wreck on I-40, but we outran the storm.

We have been very fortunate with severe weather. It seems like we always get out of OKC just ahead of the worst weather! I loved the track, and Don said he really enjoyed meeting your DH again. And your daughter's friend had the coolest t-shirt I have ever seen. I want one of those.

We are partial to appaloosa's. I used to ride quite a bit as a youngster. Until the little horse in front of the grocery store got taken away.

Glad you all made it home Ok! We usually just pull over and wait for the storm to pass depending on which way it is going. Those were some strange little storm cells the other night!

Pop belly horses don't do well on the race tracks, LadyRobyn.

Yes, those were the days. Karibear's first horse was a moose, eh?

On a more serious note, are you guys tracking the storm from LA? It looks like southeast OK is going to get soaked.

I think once you train a moose to ride or pull anything, it becomes a morse.

I went to WeatherUnderground this morning to check the temp, and noticed that we have hurricane warnings for the last half of the week. I thought this was supposed to be tornado alley!

I have been missing in action with getting a new computer all set. As well as a rushed Summer. Missed you folks.
OMG, I was some surprised to see this picture of the moose. It SUPPOSEDLY was here in NH up north in Colebrook. The story and pictured caused a bit of a stir. It apparently is a "doctored" photo. BUT, the photo was taken back in the early '40's. The technology to alter pictures wasn't what it is today. My question was then, when I first read the article and now.......Can you change an older photo to make it look like this Bull moose was hasnessed ?
These animals look slow and dumb, but like the Buffalo, they can run well and get agitated real easy. necabin
