That was funny! And "Cotton-eyed Joe" is one of my favorite songs/dances.

Thanks MK. Those drawings match what I saw when I took a peek under the mower this afternoon.

Done! Wow, that's a pretty impressive site and offers a heck of a lot of good information. Thanks!

Hey all! Been hearing about this place non-stop from my mom (LadyRobyn), so i figured i'd duck in and register.

I joined the US Navy in 2003, and am stationed in Groton, CT. I'll be finished with my 5-yr enlistment here in may. After I get out, I'll be moving to Duncan to live with my parents till i can get on my feet (i told you about that, right mom? ) and start my career as a firefighter. Just finished up my coursework and practical exams for my EMT certification.

I'm recently divorced after 4 years of marriage, and I have a gorgeous little 2-yearold who lives with her mother in ohio.

Can't wait to get done here in CT and move HOME!

Oh, and my name is Jon.

Welcome, Jon. Good to have you here. Your mom is very entertaining. Go check out her photo for the photography contest. It's so cute!

welcome aboard J double R.
Nice to have you with us.
Your parents are remarkable people.
I live in Duncan myself, in fact, I'm in walking distance from your folks.
I have alot of respect and appreciation for firefighters
I've recieved help from firefighters and EMT (evacuation team) in one of the California wild fires.
So here's to you and your new career.

thanks guys!

mkfarnam, mom's talked to me a few times about you, i'm surprised you've never seen my lanky self meandering the backyard on my various trips out there!

being in Fire/EMS is one of the most physically and emotionally rewarding jobs i've ever done.. keeps me in [fair enough] shape, and the idea of helping people in the most dire of circumstances speaks for itself.

Who knows? maybe I have. But even after 8 months I can only indentify faces from the closest proximity.
