Does anyone have children that attend Will Rogers Elementary in Stillwater, OK? I would like to purchase a home in the area but I am concerned about the school's ratings. Their rating/school report card dropped significantly in the last year. However, they do have a new building. I don't want to put too much stock in the ratings and I would like to get some first hand information. I know there are other schools in Stillwater that are more highly rated. So, I am wondering if Will Rogers is good but not great, or is it bad, and if so, why and how bad?

My kids are at a different school in the district so I have no first hand knowledge as a parent there. I do however know a couple of people who worked at the school until recently. They had nothing but good things to say about it, but both of them left because of budget concerns. That is a problem that is not specific to just that school however. They are in the midst of a major budget cut system-wide.

From my experience though at most every Stillwater elementary you are going to be in pretty good shape. The teachers here do a great job.
