He was on the radio in Tulsa, but I don't know if that's the case anymore. I'll do some research and get back with you.

Here's an article jessaka that explains alot. He is on KMOD in Tulsa. Funny, he was a Pharmacist that used to call in to the radio station a lot and they finally made him a regular.

The Oak Ridger Online - Feature: Intermission - Roy D. Mercer -- he's the Jerky Boys' country cousin 12/10/99 (broken link)

I looked at their website and he's still listed as one of the "jocks." but it only takes you to his website. I couldn't see a program schedule, but I suppose you could call the station and ask when he's on.

97.5 KMOD...Tulsa's Rock Station!

Jessaka, it's been a while since we bought one of his CD's but, I think we got ours at a truck stop. My husband recognized his name. They were recordings of a bunch of Roy Mercer's prank calls...just hilarious.

I think he used to be on the radio(?). Someone else can answer that better than me.

I like the one where he called the pharmacy and complained about diahrea and gas because of some medication he got there. He told the pharmacist he needed to make an emergency call to his house with some "butt putty."

Thanks Synopsis for a great laugh this AM! I just listened to the link. I had heard the rooster call before - I always get a visual of a rooster changing channels on the radio & playing tic-tac-toe....too funny!

What was so funny about the rooster call was that the lady who answered the phone took everything so seriously and really seemed concerned about the poor rooster.

Yea, she was really sympathetic. This guy is so good about staying in character too. I don't know if I could pull that off without cracking up. What a great way to make a living!
